Winnett Vineyards Merlot

As a winemaker from St. Emilion once said to me, "Ah, Merlot! It gives our wine rich fruit flavors with softness and shapely rounded curves then we blend just a tiny bit of Cabernet Franc to give our wine backbone and character." While he was talking about the Merlot grown in his native Bordeaux region of France, this is also a perfect description of the Merlot we make here in Willow Creek; soft, black cherry and blueberry flavors but with enough acid and tannin from a small amount of Cab Franc to add to its aging potential.

$17 per bottle
